Question by am1988: Grigori Rasputin, any interesting info for my history project?
I already know about his influence over the Tsarina but as I understand he was more a symptom than a cause for problems. Anything else?
No wikipedia pastes please!

His name was Grigori Efimovich Rasputin and he is one of the most enigmatic men in modern history. Was he a misunderstood holy man with strange powers to heal – or was he a scheming sinner who manipulated the suffering of others?

I read the Radinski (spelling?) book. Highly recommended!

There was a great book from a few years ago called "The Rasputin File", by Edvard Radzinsky. It brought to light all sorts of new info on the guy. Dude was messed up, to say the least. http://www.amazon.com/Rasputin-File-Edvard-Radzin…
