Are police officers in Moscow paid well?

Question by Hayley: Does a police officer in Moscow pay well?
I’m American but Yelena (she’s Russian) plans to move back to Moscow, Russia (she misses it to much) and I’m planning to move with her. She plans to join the Moscow police force and I was wondering if being a Russian cop pays well.

I know I answered this question in the law enforcement category but I think putting it in this category may be better.

I moved to U.S from Russia ten years ago. My uncle work in Moscow police department. They make good enough money to survive. I would say..his living average life. He has to work a lot of overtime without getting paid for it.
