Are Russian singers like Victor Tsoi and Igor Talkov still popular?

Question by K2010: Victor Tsoi, Igor Talkov, Russian singers who left this Wolrd untimely 20 years ago are still popular. Can ?
Can the same be said by today “stars”
Pugacheva, Rotaru, Leontiev, etc are pop music representative and don’t count

no, no one listens to Pugacheva anymore. I think that Tsoi and Talkov among others are considered classics though, same with Visoskie (spelling?). Anita Tsoi is awesome too, although she’s modern

Victor Tsoi, Igor Talkov – classics, no stars. Here is the same difference as between “a masterpiece” and “best seller”: “best seller” – what sells well (even such sh*t as Lady Gaga), “a masterpiece” – something that does not leave people indifferent, and after many years.
P.S. Personally, I do not like the Tsoi’s songs.

    Indeed, Igor Talkov and Viktor Tsoi is a classic. These people are great poets and composers had a strong civil position, which distinguished them from the faceless masses of pop musicians. Talkov always be remembered by people only because one of his song “Russia.” In my opinion this is the most heartfelt song about our country. As for Tsoi, not all of his songs I understand, but I respect his work
