My personal opinion is the AK-47 is a great firearm if you want ot have fun spraying 30 rounds away from you, but the M-4 is much better for precise engagements. The underlying meaning in that is that spraying seldom produces slaying and precision firing drops targets. The Ak is better suited to extremely adverse conditions, but I never had a conditions induced jam in my M-4 or M-16. You just have to be dutiful in maintenance of your weapons systems. Of course you have to do that with both weapons anyway. The AK is cheaply made and prone to more breaks of internal parts than the M-4. Not to say weapons parts don't break in the M-4, they do. Personally, I like the M-4. I don't like the fact the round is a 5.56, but I don't hate it. I don't like the AK so much I would throw away my M-4 in favor of it though. But I don't hate the AK either.
