Question by Alex S: What is the best & fastest way to learn Russian?
I am looking to learn Russian quite quickly, but I would prefer to learn it correctly than learn it badly. I am would like a book/online course/program that I can easily pick up and put down for about 10 minutes to 45 minutes a day.
I would also like to stay at home, so no actual in-person courses.

Total immersion is the fastest way. You can either join a language immersion program or go to Russia. The former is obviously a lot easier.
Update: Since you don’t want to leave home to do your study, you could try Rosetta Stone software. It’s pretty expensive, but well worth it from what I hear. There are also personal instructors online. Good luck!

The most effective way would be to get Russian books for toddlers and a dictionary. These books have the simplest sentence structure and will help you to gain the vocabulary as well.

This isn't much of an answer, but I'd repeat your question here – http://masterrussian.net/forum.php
When I was learning Russian, with quite a different time frame in mind, these folks were of excellent help to me.
