Yes, this is 100% possible. How do I know? Sadly, it's been done before.
50lb is the weight of the average 7 year old boy, and there have been many recorded cases of African child soldiers of that age using AK-47 in battle. In fact since the average African 7 weighs less than 50lb, you don't even need to weigh that to fire an AK-47.
You'd not be able to fire it as well as an adult, but it's still being done every day in various conflict zones.
FYI, a 50lb man would be a very sick person. Maybe dying. They may not have the strength to lift and fire an AK-47. So while a 50lb child could easily use an AK-47, a 50lb man might have to do it from a seated position because he'd be too weak to stand.

an AK is 1/5 his weight…
hardly a man if hes 50lbs
Mr Verano says
Not likely, If he's a grown man and he only weighs 50 lbs chances are there is something seriously wrong with him medically.
idontknow says
a 50 pound man would have trouble with a bb gun

Sure you're not talking about a child?

There are kids in Africa killing people with these things.

an adult? 50 pound makes 22.6kg~ .. If we talking about a adult his condition he/she likes a mummy .. an adult who only 22,6kg can't have enough energy for fight.
He/She can manage the Kalashnikov without trouble but with this body mass he/she can't resist well under line of fire. a warrior without energy and/or focus means walking target for opponents
.. other hand If we talking about a child who carry AK47 ; aye .. child's can use AK47's too, without experience of course but they can squeeze the trigger and they can change the clip
.. but so skinny adult or a child can't resist against a well trained and geared any western soldier more than 5min. (max)

What kind of man weighs 50 pounds? Maybe a child weighs 50 pounds, but a grown man should weigh much much more. A child shouldn't be handling a weapon like that.

No. That's why there are derringers.
