Can descendants of the Russian royal family reclaim the throne?

Question by Isaac Cerecke: Are descendants of the Russian royal family able to reclaim the throne?
I am doing some research about the Russian revolution and was just wondering.

The last czar and all his kids were murdered. There hasn’t been a throne in Russia since 1917. So after all these years, I don’t think it’s even possible to re-establish the monarchy there.
