Question by CHELS: could the russian revolution have succeeded without lenin?
i really don’t know this.
i know some people freak out about helping people with homework so if you don’t want to any links that aren’t just blabbering on and on would really help. i need info. that’s right to the point.

The Russian Revolution happened without Lenin…….originally, what happened was in March 1917, Nicholas II was advised to abdicate since the troops were going on the sides of the striking people, the riots for food and fuel were getting out of hand and nothing could be done to stop it. The Provisional Government took over, headed by Alexander Kerensky. Then, in October of 1917, Lenin, who had been in exile, heard what was going on, and funded by Germany, headed back to the capital. He and the Bolsheviks (larger party) then overthrew the Provisional Governnment (or the Mensheviks, smaller party) . So the revolution had already happened without him. If it wasn’t him standing ready to take over, many others were there. So your answer is YES.
