Question by brandonupthere: What is the current diplomatic relationship between Russia and the US?
With all the spies caught it seems that the bitterness left during the Cold War hasn’t subsided as I had thought, which leaves me wondering, what the current diplomatic relationship between Russia and the US is. Is another Cold War coming? What are the possibilities of confrontation? Would the west coast, particularly California (where I live) be in danger?
Please give me authentic, detailed answers as I would like to know more about this.

Diplomatic relations are fine, full relations.
No cold war is coming, don’t worry.
No-one is in danger, there is 0% chance of a war with Russia.
Russia is not the USSR, its a different time to the cold war now.
