Question by kelly_chan252: What type of composition is the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy by Tchaikovsky?
I have a Tchaikovsky project to do for Music and one of the questions is: What type of composition is the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy? I wrote a load of stuff, basically I just said it was a ballet?
I’m not sure if that’s the answer they’re looking for but it’s NOT a symphony or anything like that is it?
10 points to anyone who helps me and answers to this question quickly!

Do you mean the music itself?.. I suppose your answer of "Ballet" would be about as close to being right as anything. It's very close to a type of music called a "GALLOP" which is a first cousin to the "CAN-CAN" but without all the high kicks.
I hate this… I'm going to be thinking about this question all day until I can put it into the right pidgeon hole… HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU TOO…. he,he,he,…
