No, as Communism is supposed to be a secular society, where people are supposed to worship the state, instead of God.

In soviet times, it was illegal to believe in God. Churches were knocked down so ugly apartment blocks could be put in place, and priests were executed in the most horrific ways.

You know St. Basil’s Cathedral in Red Square? Stalin wanted that knocked down, but it was saved because it’s so iconic.

Trotsky felt as Marx that “religion is the opium of the people. Whoever fails to struggle against religion is unworthy of bearing the name of a revolutionary.”
