Question by Edie: Did Joseph Stalin have an official propaganda agent?
I know that Hitler had Goebbels, but I was wondering if Stalin had someone or a committee to officially manage his propaganda for him, because I highly doubt that he managed ALL his propaganda on his own.

Actually, he did manage quite a bit of it on his own. For example, he personally reviewed all movies made in the USSR (of which there were about seven each year), as well as foreign films proposed to be shown in the USSR, approved posters to be hung in public places, songs to be played on the radio, slogans to be displayed during official celebrations, architectural designs for buildings to be constructed, etc…
The routine technical work, meanwhile, was done at the Department of Propaganda within the Central Committee of the Communist Party, whose chiefs were faceless career bureaucrats with no aspirations for political leadership, usually promoted from within…
