Putin has been observed meeting with Russian Generals directing the attack on the sovereign nation of Georgia.
The President of Russia is Dmitri Medvedev. However Dmitri Medvedev has been out of the picture with respect to the attack on Georgia.
Putin, the old KGB thug appears to be directing the attack and appears to have usurped the authority of the Presidency from Dmitri Medvedev.
