Do you blame Russia for taking over Georgia?

Question by Phil Gramm: Do you blame Russia for pretty much taking over all of Georgia?
Georgia went ahead, thinking, “Well, America will come to our rescue if this goes haywire. We have a Democracy! George Bush is the defender of Democracy!” Five days later, the president is pleading for help on every CNN show there is and the ugliest black woman alive, Condi Rice, is flying overseas making threats.

Can you honestly blame Russia?

"I personally don't blame them for their moving in, but absolutely blame them for the "We are a power of the world" Chaotic damage they inflicted on Georgia."

Despite the "chaotic damage" few Georgian civilians were killed. Compare that to 2000 civilians killed by Georgian troops over (1)!! night.

I dont blam russia but we need to check our information source. I cannot beleave the american people would be so nieve about this.
and that little comment about Kuwatt can be spun a diffrent way too. Georgias the big bad bully and Abhazia and South Ossetti are little Kuwait how do you like that.

I used to live over their and i know first hand how deciving Georgia could. On the news they ask for help while they dispatch their troops to kill and leave no witnesses behind. What did they expect that Russia would stand back and just watch them kill inosent people and not do anything about it. and the thing that surprises me the most that it's russia who interviend on those peoples behalf and not the us and the most bafaling to me is our double standards if it's our ally who's doing this it's okay it's justified but if they're aren't our allies than we go and bomb the krap out of them. If that's what the us has become than I'm greatly saddand that this is what the land of justice and pieace has become.

Russia has every right to defend South Ossetia. The Bush administration is a bunch of greedy, buisness tycoon hypocrites.

And, this once tough cowboy Bush, is a scarred chicken sh!t of Russia.

I agree, Condi Rice one of, if not the ugliest black females alive.

Russia has revealed itself to be a threat. George Bush has overextended us and left us unable to deal with any mischief around the world. There are far homelier women than Condi Rice. To imply that the woman's appearance is all to judge her by over looks her greatest talent — playing piano.

No, I don't. Georgia actually killed some Russian soldiers in their attack on South Ossetia. That sounds like a justifiable reason to attack another country. How many US troops did Iraq kill shortly before our invasion? Zero.

The U.S. was trying to make Georgia part of NATO if that would of happen we would be at world war III right now. It would save more lives of Georgia just gave up right to the pipeline.

Georgia made a stupid move, but the reaction of Russia was not matched. Russia is a bully and has a problem backing down from anything. They refuse to adhere to any rules.

Russia is an awful nation, now a bunch of ex KGB personal are getting in power (putin was one) with revenge on their minds. This situation sucks cause so far democrats have criticized bush for being both too tough and too soft on the same issue.

Russia's Level of force was not just a little unbecoming. I would say that if all this had to happen they could have done a better job with a lot less destruction.

I personally don't blame them for their moving in, but absolutely blame them for the "We are a power of the world" Chaotic damage they inflicted on Georgia.

It is no less the same than if one adult policeman beat a five year old for stealing candy.

    Yes I can.

Georgia attacked rebels in their own territory, and the Russians decided to spin it as a reason to invade.
