Again, I won't be surprised if it comes out after the final that he is hurt. If you think about it, he hasn't been the same since that big hit he took in the Philly series.
Cut him some slack — he stepped up BIG TIME when Sid was out — there has to be a good reason why he isn't doing the same now!!
Pens fans must rally for the team (BELIEVE)!!
Cast says
All I know is that the Pens are most likely going to be trading Malkin to get a player(s) with more potential in not just the regular season, but the playoffs.
Dan the Pens Fan says
Sit him for the first period, see if that lights his fire. He has no confidence, and will NOT shoot. At one point near the end of the 5-on-3, he chased the puck back to the blue line, and without even looking at teammates/ the net, wheeled around and let it fly out of frustration…He's more of a baby than Crosby will ever be, he just can't speak the language to prove it.
Then, trade him in the offseason, free up cap, re-sign Hossa, and make a play for Redden.
WDIT: Regardless of this kid's play ATM, he's in another league compared to Tanguay, sorry. I'd like to see him traded for defense and cap room to re-sign other, more important pieces to this puzzle.

yes, it was embarrassing to watch him out on the ice, especially on the 5 on 3 powerplay Pittsburgh had. If I were the coach I would have had his *** sit on the bench the rest of the night
Petza says
He has been horrible in the last 6 games. For sure worst on the team
pat says
When Malkin is gets mad and he throw little temper tantrums on the ice. But when he is doing good he is unstoppable
blah says
if he passed one more puck to another red wing last night i was gonna scream. Well actually i did because he totally SUCKED. He can be great, but as long as he continues to pass to the opposite team with idiotic backhands and what not, he's gonna continue to suck. He can't even get the puck deep. He hasn't played well since taking a big hit in against philly. They need to let every other penguin check him in practice. Smack him around a bit, or something. He has been totally useless lately
Melting Media EAC says
He says he's exhausted.
Flames Fan says
Why is he even taking the blame?
"TEAMWORK" gets you the cup, not just one person. Leave the kid alone.
And if he gets traded..uh.. Tanguay for Malkin?Oh my god, that would be awesome, it won't happen though. Pittsburgh should not trade him.
