I heard that Russian only has one active aircraft carrier. The rest are either scrapped or out of action. Is that true?

I don’t know, specifically, but yeah, their Navy is in pretty bad shape. They are having to pull ships away from Georgia to have an exercise in Venezuela, and I am dying to see how many of them make it all the way across the Atlantic under their own steam.

Yes, only the Admiral Kuznetsov is in active service. There were 4 ships of the Kiev class, 3 of which were stricken and disposed of, and the fourth, Admiral Gorshkov, is being converted to STOBAR configuration for the Indian Navy.
