Question by : Does the Russian government try to prevent Crimean Tatars from moving to the Crimea in Ukraine?
Doesn’t the Crimea have a solid Russian-majority, and don’t a lot of those Russians want to split from Ukraine and rejoin Russia?
So if a lot of the (pro-Ukraine) Tatars starting moving into their original Crimean homeland, that would possibly upset the demographic balance there.
And if Crimea became majority pro-Ukrainian Tatar, then Crimea could no longer re-join Russia.
Is this the case?

Yes. Russia wants as much control over its former USSRepublics as possible.

Samian, I don't know where did you find this, but there is no such thing as "pro-Ukrainian Tatar", they are rather pro-Turkish tatars, they learn in Turkey and have that "special support" there.
You know, that I live in UA, right? + I've been to Crimea this summer and I've been seeing those leaflets with the logo kinda "Sport is the best friend of a muslim", where there were 2 dudes: 1 sportsman – tatar boy and one alcoholic-like slavic boy.
Tatars can USE Ukrainian nationalists for their purposes, but at the end of the day, they will always brothers of turks. Of course they are not those fanatics, there are many ok people, but the influence of our Southern neighbour is dangerous for us.
During the WWII tatars (just like turks) allied with germans, and killed hundreds of thousands of slavic people by themselves…
It's very easy to say (for foreigners), that Crimea is not Russian land. Well, I always advice those people to visit this place, so to speak to feel the "Spirit".
Crimean land is soaked with Russian blood and Russian tears. Crimea belongs to Ukraine from only 1954 thanks to Khrushchev, but still Crimea is Russkaja land and this is what Crimeans themselves insist on. No one has a right to force them to be someone else.
@BoiJoi
you know, to be a clown doesn't necessarily mean one needs to pretend to be Ukrainian. Seriously, stop dishonoring MY Motherland.

How is Russia trying to prevent them if its Ukrain's territory, they are independent country you know? this region is economicaly good only at summer, so Ukrainians from other regions don't have much desire to go there.
