Question by Xamanator: Does Trotsky’s house on Buyuk Ada, near Istanbul, still exist?
When Trotsky was exiled from the USSR in about 1930 he stayed on Prinkipo, now Buyuk Ada, an island near Istanbul. Does the house he stayed in still exist?

The house on Büyükada occupied by Leon Trotsky from 1929 to 1933 is Çankaya Caddesi No. 55, the former konak (mansion) of Izzet Pasa, head of Abdulhamid II's secret police—an approriate place for Trotsky!

Yes, it certainly does. Actually the place looks more like a mansion than a house. There is a picture on the webpage listed below of how the house appears today.
