Question by Mr Miyagi wants a kiss: Now France is selling warships to Russia, will the rest of Europe start sharing weapons with Russia?
It appears that Russia needs to update its weapons because it “feels like it is being surrounded by American Missiles”. Has the sale of warships by france to Russia meant that Europe will start upgrading Russia’s outdated equipment? Does this show a new partnership forming, as Europe, mainly Germany relies on Russia for energy supplies?

I think all France sold them was amphibious crafts if not post a link
so the only places Russia can use amphibious assault ships is Europe

Yes, other countries will do so. There are already partnerships with French and German firms. There are also partnerships with commercial vehicles and heavy vehicles as well.

The UK is not the only nation who bribe to win defence contracts all nations with a defence industry do.

The sale of weapons to any particular country does not indicate the existence or development of a political partnership with that country.
Most of the world's major weapons manufacturers are European. They sell weapons all over the planet, including to many countries openly hostile to the European way of life.
The US sells weapons all over the world too, including to places like China, Indonesia, Libya, and a number of sub-Saharan nations, none of which are exactly know for being best buddies with the Yanks.
The Russians are extremely good with aircraft, small arms, and nuclear technology. They sell those all over the world too, including to a number of Western nations, their supposed arch-nemeses.

Many Europeans have forgotten about the cold war. However the paranoia here in the united states still exist.

All I have to say is the Cold War ended 20 years ago. If Europe intends to engage Russia on security issues then it has to be willing to trade fairly with it in all endeavors, including military hardware.
I notice nobody seemed terribly upset when Russian and Ukranian firms were trying to sell tanks to Greece and Turkey or when Russia has sold advanced anti-aircraft weapons to Greece.

Russians make some crappy weapons. But then again, are the French weapons much better?
I think it is OK for the French to make a buck or two off the Russians. Now if American and British warships were going to Russia, then the world have a serious problem to contend with.

This and Europes inability to finance a sizable military force of its own is why the U.S. needs to bail on NATO.

Your a little behind the curve of information here. The close co-operation between France, Germany and Russia started in the 1980s. The gas pipelines have been laid then!
Weapons are sold to the highest bidder, no questions asked.
Israel buys the majority of its weapons and warship from Germany and the US and no one asks questions. The UK sells to anybody who wants to have military equipment and pays bribes to win contracts.
Weapons trading has nothing to do with morals or with politicians. If you sell trucks to Iraq, read tanks. If you read flight equipment, read airplanes. etc etc.
The Czech Republics biggest arms manufacturer produces world famous plastic weapons. They have only one use, they can be taken on an airplane undetected.

European countries, particularly France and Germany have been selling advanced technology to our enemies for years
