Good phrases to say goodbye in Russian?

Question by Tony: What are good phrases to say goodbye in Russian?
I do not mean a single word like “Dasvidania” or “Paka”. An actual phrase like “Vaya con dios.” (Which is “Go with God” in spanish.) I do not need “Go with God” literally in Russian, just a similar phrase that I could say goodbye to a close friend with. I would appreciate it if you could spell it in English, if at all possible. I can’t read Russian script.

Actually, "vaya con dios" has a direct equivalent in Russian. It is "s Bogom." You can use it, although IMHO it would sound a bit old-fashioned and pretentious. If your friend is leaving for sometime, you can say "schastlivogo puti" (pronounced "schas-LEE-va-ga poo-TEE; the stressed syllables are capitalized). In this case, you could also add "do skorogo" or "do skorogo svidaniya" which means "see you soon." What else? I do NOT recommend saying "proshchay" unless your friend is leaving for good.
