Buy yourself a book. sorry, but it will be hard learning it on the internet or something. Make sure that the book has a CD, because Russian pronounciation, and the difference between vowels when they are stressed and unstressed is different. Furthermore, a book would exercises would definitely help you master the difficult grammar, especially with forbidding noun declensions.
Hope this helps:)

RUSSIAN MUSIC. This is the best thing you can do, in my opinion. I've been studying Russian for four years, and the first six months was entirely on my own. I frequently listened to Russian music. t.A.T.u. was my first real experience (although I know that they're not exactly up everyone's ally), but if you look up these Russian musicians, look up the lyrics, find translations on line, and whatever else, it will be a HUGE help. Also, do try to find formal classes. Obviously, they are a help.
And the alphabet? Not very hard at all! It took me about three days to learn it. Repetition is key.
