Question by Phil A: How can Chechnya be part of Russia yet be so separate ?
Chechnya is part of Russia ( accorrding to wiki anyway).
Yet is has a separate parliament, a separate constitution and a separate president to Russia.
Is it more likely to remain that way,or break away into a new country ?

"has a separate parliament, a separate constitution and a separate president to Russia".
Russia is a federative state, so many federal subjects have their own parliaments, presidents and constitutions, this is just how federation works. Not only Chechnya but also all the other republics like Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Tuva, Kalmyk, Chuvash, Udmurt, Sakha-Yakut, Buryat etc… Anyway, federal legislation / parliament / president have the primacy.
By the way, Ramzan Kadyrov has dropped the title of 'President', now he is called the Head of the Republic.
