Question by WONGWUI: How can I call a russian mobile from the states?
I live in Las Vegas, NV and I’m trying to call my friend that lives in Vladivostok, Russia. The number he gave me was:

dial 011 for international calls and then 7 is the country code for Russia.
Or it’s much easier and cheaper too to use Skype!

dial the country code: 7 (not 8!, you only dial 8 from within Russia when it is a Russian domestic long distance call)
dial the area code and the number: 9502814080

This is a bit tricky because of the starting 8 which is the national trunk code used within Russia only. So you will dial the following: 011 + 7 + 9502814080.

A friend of mine who is in Kansas now sends us SMS messages by dialing +79502814080. She is a client of Russian mobile network ”Bee-Line” though. Make a try, who knows , it might help.
