I have a weird question, seriously, why would anyone want that kind of a gun?
JJM08 says
Ok, you can own both the wasr and full auto part but legally if the parts were after the ban on "new" automatic weapons then you cannot install them because the fully automatic parts are actually registered as THE machine gun not even the wasr. thats why you see full auto weapons that cost $ 5,000+ when there retail to LE or Military is only $ 800 is because there getting rarer and rarer, so unless you have a giant wad of cash to spend on a old full auto rifle dont bother. You can however get a license to make them for LE and Military but thats ALOT of paperwork and red tape even then process is long and tedious. I hope that helps you
Joe Jackson says
Shouldn't be too hard now with the Supreme Court ruling
mrtedhead says
there is a method to legally purchase fully automatic weapons
requires a 200$ tax be paid
a ton of paperwork
more paperwork signed by your "chief law enforcement officer of your area"
waiting
more waiting
then one day in the mail you get a "stamp" that will license ownership of an otherwise prohibited weapon
go here and read this
this is the method to get a weapon that you want
if you can meet all of the requirements (which are difficult)
you will get plenty of idiots on here telling u its illegal to own one at all… but they don't know any better
notice the crime is possession of an "unregistered" machine gun
not possession of a machine gun
—-> part of the law:
It is illegal for anyone to have possession of an NFA weapon
that is not registered to them in the NFA Registry.
Also, you can buy the parts of the weapon that make it fully automatic off the internet, you just can't "legally" install them into your gun without first getting it registered with the above.
