Question by Spencer: How do I travel to Moscow?
I used to live in Moscow, Russia and now want to go back to see friends, this will be the last time I will be able to see them before they all move. I have a friend in Moscow that is willing to write any letters or fill out out any visitor papers if neccesary but I would still like to know exactly what I need to do to make this trip happen.

Do easier, just go to a travel agency and buy a tourist voucher to Russia, cause making personnel invitation that your friend wants to do is more complicated.

Well, if you are going to Moscow just for a short period of time, basically up to 30 days, you may apply for single entry tourist visa. If you decide to do the processing via travel agent, do not buy any tourist vouchers online, because most agents providing visa processing service already include the cost of the voucher into their prices and you will just spend about $ 25 – $ 40 for nothing…
If you decide to go to the consulate your self than just buy the tourist voucher online, complete application; take one passport size picture and the money order for the processing fees. Make sure you know the exact amount of fee you will have to pay (since there is different fee for different processing time) and purchase money order in advance, they do not accept checks or credit cards at the consulate.
If you need a help with full visa processing or you need to purchase just a voucher, let me know I may help you with that.
Thanks!
