There can’t be many. He was a brutal dictator. He was a major supporter of the ideas of Karl Marx, however, so maybe you should look up some key points from the Communist Manifesto. He probably followed that book the best he could. Don’t know how else to help you.

There are still a lot of statues of him in Russia, so he couldn't have been all that bad otherwise they'd have been torn down. I don't think he was all that bad as far as dictators go.
