Ask her to talk via microphone on Yahoo messenger. if she does not have microphone it's very cheap. I know I live in russia.

I would suggest using a calling card, maybe calling you from a phone booth. I don't know how popular phone booths are in Russia, though. I lived in France for 3 months and that's what i had to do because my host didn't have a home phone either. another suggestion is that she can buy a cheap pay-as-you-go cell phone (not sure the prices of cell phones in russia, though…). that's what i eventually did and it worked out so much better!

If there is no phone at home then she might not be in Russia. It might be a scam.

She can use a friends phone or maybe a relatives. she could get a phone/ cell phone. she could use skype. She could find a pay phone. IF she really wants to talk to you, she can make it happen
