Question by Asda I: How could the tsar prevented the revolution?
The tsar, Nicholas the 2nd, how can he prevented it. Please give one specific example.

By not dissolving the Duma in 1905. This would have allowed the people to have an outlet for their grievances and have a degree of control of the government. Unfortunately, Nicholas saw himself as appointed by God and to give up power was akin to sin. If he had given up some power, the Duma would have had an opportunity to establish itself more and produce some reforms, giving the Bolsheviks less opportunity to provide an alternative in the future. Also, the Duma might have refused to honor the alliances that pulled Russia into World War I.

I'm not all that sure he could have prevented it. As long as the tsarist system was in effect, I think that there would have been a revolution — no matter who the tsar was.
