    Fear and terror, not necessarily in that order. He killed millions of his own people to keep the survivors in line. He was possible the second biggest mass murderer in history (behind his good buddy Mao).

    Some years ago I,ve red Mao Tsetungs Biography. That time I,ve questioned myself too how could this person control a nation with a billion people over a period of 40 – 50 years ?Only with terror.Surprisingly are such leaders not very intelligent or Genius.
