How did Sharapova survive financially when she came to America?

Question by RS: How did Maria Sharapova Financially survive when she came to America?
I know she came from Russia with her dad whth less than 100 dollars. How did her dad or herself pay for the coaches, Raquets, Flights, ETC…, I know she went to Nick Bolleteri School and I pretty sure its not that cheap to go there since to many champions have trained there in the past. I know becoming a tennis pro is not cheap these days and did she ever finish school and if she did, how if she was training so much to become a pro at a young age.

Well her dad did odd jobs around Florida , like gardening , driving a cab , etc.I havent read anything about his getting a full time job instantly but surely he must have had one to put her through so many years ar Bolleteri's .But dont forget , she and her dad came to America on Navratilova's recommendation , so surely Martina Navratilova's recommendation must have had some weight at the academy , rite?

I believe at that point, she was so good that Bolleteri paid for her and Yuri to stay at the camp. Obviously, that's paid off!
