I don’t remember the exact name, but something like Order #1 issued by the Bolsheviks stated that no solider in the army had obey the order of anyone out ranking them. This threw the Russian Army into disarray.

You left something out. After the Tsar abdicated, there was a Provisional Republican government headed up by Alexander Kerensky. That was the government the Bolsheviks overthrew.

Shortly after the Bolsheviks took power they signed a treaty with Germany at high cost to Russia which pulled Russia out of the First World War. This in turn free up a hugh number of German forces. The Germans were hoping to get these forces to the Western Front and bring the conflict in the West to a successful conclusion before the American forces could arrive in Europe in significant numbers and be ready to fight. Of course history shows they failed.
