It’s so that Hitler wouldn’t have to fight a 2 front war. Didn’t last though Hitler invaded Russia and was destroyed by the Russian winter

stalin was the one that gained from it, gave him time to build and strenghen his defenses arounf russia, in case of a german attack, what he got was a free hand with the baltic states and poland, that was signed inn1939 and in 1941 hilter turned on stalin,

It allowed him to start the war
He could attack Poland- knowing that the Soviet Union would stab them in the back (despite a non-agression and friendship treaty). Simply because it meant that Poland would be crushed before France and Britain had the time to mobilise and react.
His back secured, he was free to attack Dennmark and Norway (secured exit into the North Sea, safe northern flank) then France and Britain
By 1941 it looked like it was all over bar the shouting- Britain was on its knees, bombed daily and starved by the U-boat blockade
The attack on the Soviet Union was needed- because Stalin was preparing to attack Hitler. In fact Stalin's offensive was planned for early July and Hitler beat him to the punch.
Even then there was a fair chance of winning- were it not for the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour and Hitler's own dumb decision to declare war on the United States

He needed the non aggression pact so that he didn't need to fight on both sides and could concentrate on the western front first.

At least you admit it!
Mostly it was to put The Soviet Union into a false state of security, ensuring they were unprepared for Operation Barbarossa, the invasion.

It avoided the need to fight on two fronts and he could concentrate on attacking the west.
