Question by : How did the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan increase tensions between the USA and the USSR?
I need to know this for my history GCSE in two weeks and I am so confused 🙁 please help me!

It was a proxy war. When the soviets invaded Afghanistan America gave weapons to the afghans so you can see how that would increase tensions between the two super powers.
