How do I locate the family of a former USSR Prisoner of Conscience?

Question by Katie C: How can I locate the family of a former USSR Prisoner of Conscience?
I’m looking for the family of former USSR Prisoner of Conscience Anatoly Goldfeld. He was held in the USSR circa the 1960’s, and I have no idea how to locate him or his family. He was Jewish, if that helps.

Can anyone give me a start?

I found the mention of him in the book “The Last Exodus” by Leonard Schroeter. The name, surprisingly, is too common to find him online without additional information – did he survive? go to Israel, the UK or USA? You can try writing to the author of the book, care of his publisher. You can contact the Jewish Immigrant Aid Society or Jewish Family Services (ask your librarian if there’s one in your area).

    Hello Katie C,

I am, probably, the person you are looking for, since I was a USSR Prisoner of Conscience during the period of 1970-1974. You can contact me using my email, [email protected].

    Best regards

    Anatoly
