Question by Philip A: How to start a letter in Russian?
My friend has just me a boy who lives in russia and she wants to impress him when she emails him How do you start a letter ie. Hello kirill and how do you finish the letter she wants to make it romantic And any other sayings which might help. Ho she only has the english alphabet and knows no russian Rearly any advice you can give will be helpfull

theres an actual website that translates the words into another language. I sadly can’t remember it off the top of my head, but go on google and type in language translater or something similar, eventually you’ll find it. However, i think it’s only words rather than sentences, so your puncuation might be a bit off. Sorry this is the onlyu advice i can offer.

    Don't use "sites that translate" – otherwise instead of read it as "romantic" he will read it as a bad joke.

    If he does not know English (or knows it poorly) then she is out of luck 🙁

    If he does know English then she can write him "regular" letter, whatever 'romantic' style she may think of – there is no "special" Russian style for that.

    You can start it, with Privet Kirill, and finish Tselyu ( kisses) and your name. If you want to write in in Russian alphabet Hi- привет and kisses is -целую. Good Luck
