They wait for the mystical “ptica ognya” (the fire-bird) which does fly over their rooftops sometimes, to drop the magic feather.
With the feather they heating up the whole house and water.
To see each other at night-time, they use a jars filled to the top with fireflies.
It is the favored past time of the Russian children during the summer school vacations to pick up the bugs to satisfy the needs of parents. Lol
Hope that will make you think twice.
Or did you think they aren’t washing thyself at all?
If yes, you pick the wrong nation, it’s not the Russian but the Gypsies who are washed only twice in their life.
First time when they are born and secondly in the morgue after they die.

Hi! I’m glad you asked that! I’m gonna tell you everything about taking shower in Russia and really want my information to be put in your paper.
First. The most of Russians live in cities and towns. There they have bathrooms and central heating, so they use hot water right from the tap (it comes from local Cogenerations). But sometimes, mainly in summer, the water servises turn off the hot water curculation. Then people warm cold water with electric kettles, gas and electric stoves (cookers). Now, people have an opportunity to set a warm water generator (personal heater) into their bathrooms but not everybody uses it, it’s not cheap and not usual…yet. Next, some people live in villages and the most of city people have country houses (dacha). There they often use the same old kettles and also immersion and electrode heaters and fire-wood stoves. Sometimes people even warm water with firebones using fire-woods and sometimes coal. In summer (esp. in villages or dachas) it’s enough to leave a barrel of water outdoors to be warmed with the sun. At the same places people enjoy taking steam-bathes (aka banya). It’s worse when the cold water is turned off in cities. you need to collect hot water and leave it for cooling. Speaking of Gypsies, they take a shower more often than 2 times for sure, but still keep in mind that in Russia there are Gypsies and chukchi. Chukchi live in very cold northern areas and simple don’t have a chance to wash often because they are nomads and it’s too cold outdoors in winter.
