How do you spell Rachmaninoff?

Question by Rizacat: How do you spell Sergei Rachmaninoff’s last name?
On wikipedia and other sites it spells it with the double f, but on all of the albums I have of his, they spell it “Rachmaninov”. Which is correct?

    The more accurate way of spelling his name is: Rakhmaninov, based on the Russian Рахманинов. Based on the (generally accepted) US Library of Congress transliteration scheme).
    However, both version that you are widely accepted, even though neither accurately reflects the Cyrillic spelling of his name.

    Tchaikovsky is similarly "incorrect", his name should be spelt "Chaikovskii" from Чайковский.
