pinch your noes or smoke a bowl of dro to give motivation
Fred says
Don't do shots, try some mixed drinks alternating with water until you get used to alcohol
kden109 says
Pinch your nose while taking the shot, that's what I do with just about any liquor. You may look funny but at least you wont gag and want to throw up!!!
Chuck says
1. Keep it cold. Ice cold.
2. Don't breathe through your nose (i.e., hold your breath) while you are taking the shot and for a few seconds after you swallow. Your senses of smell and taste are linked; if you can't smell it, you can't taste it.
3. Take it fast.
4. If you really can't handle it, follow up the shot by chasing it with another drink so the vodka taste is washed out: soda, fruit juice, etc.
5. Expensive vodka (Grey Goose, etc.) generally tastes better and burns less than the shitty brands (Burnett's).
fairlady says
keep it in the freezer, and also invest in some good vodka, personally belvedere is my fav for smooth drinking
