Question by bowlesgirl: How have the borders of Russia changed from the time of the last tsar (Nicholas II) to present?
This is for a geography class; we will be writing an in-class essay on the topic. I have a lot of information on political changes, but not geographical. Thanks!

I think the Russian border to the west changed significantly between the Bolshevik Revolution to the end of World War II. Keep in mind that I’m talking about the Russian border, not the border of the USSR.
