I've just answered another question of yours and now I understand what do you mean. Okay, so you are going to Nizhny Novgorod, for studies. Good for you.
The question is, do you speak any Russian? If no, then life for you will become hell (the others say so, many people).
The city is very beautiful, not big as you might know. I wouldn't say that it's expensive, prices are not so high. Cheap in comparison to Moscow and St.Petersburg.
Can you tell me, how can anyone of us guess your expenses?! Maybe you are a princess and used to live in a huge castle with hundreds of servants. Also we do not know what your income will be. Maybe you have purchased an apartment there or you plan to stay in a hostel….
Maybe you are used to eat black caviar every day or maybe you are a strict vegetarian and eat almost nothing….. ETC
Instead of guessing better contact those people, who are foreigners and already study in Nizhny. They will answer all of your specific questions.
