Question by strangemelodies: How much does a Macbook cost in Russia?
I’m in America and my best friend in Russia wants to wire me money to buy her a Macbook and take it there because they’re much cheaper here. True? An aluminum one is approx $ 1300 US$ here.
I’m not asking for a currency conversion of the US$ . If you went to a store in Russia and bought a Macbook how much would it cost?

Here is the problem: it depends on where your friend lives in Russia. You can go to a store in Moscow and get a Macbook for 35,550 rubles: But the cost of the same laptop will vary based on the store and the city/town. Unlike US, where you can easily go to Apple Online Store and purchase online, Russian Apple Site only directs you to a list of authorized resellers in various city.
