We know about the services between Kviv and Moscova, also the timetables. However trying to get the price of fares is rather difficult and our pricing structure may well be incorrect.
Train timetables:
Capitals Express: Depart Kviv at 2009 daily arriving in Moscova at 0637 following day. This is a new high-speed train with an average speed of the train is about 140 kilometres per hour, and covers the distance between the 2 capitals in only 9 hours. The service is run jointly by the Russian and Ukrainian railways for maximum passenger comfort. Both 1st and 2nd class cabins are available. 1st class consists of a cabin with a sleeping berth for 2 people. 2nd class consists of a cabin with a sleeping berth for 4 people.
“Firmenny”: A fast train with increased levels of service, including both 1st and 2nd class cabins are available. 1st class consists of a cabin with a sleeping berth for 2 people. 2nd class consists of a cabin with a sleeping berth for 4 people. Bed linen, light breakfast, tee, coffee are included. The train also has a nice dining car that serves good meals. Departures from Kviv at 1834 & 2042 daily with a journey time of 14 hours.
The last time we acquired tickets for a client through our contacts in Kviv and Moscova the fare was 1st Class: 183.78 EUR, 2nd Class: 95.40 EUR per person (May 2009). As to whether the fare has increased since then we do not know.
Please note: These fares DO NOT include the Russian and Belarus visas that will probably be required. Also advanced booking is required via either of the state railways or their agents at least 14 days in advance as these services are very popular.
The service is extremely safe, the best way to travel between the two cities.
