Question by Nemanja S: How much does Russia profits annually from gas and oil exports?
Does anyone know the percent of their budget revenue from these exports? And also how much more will they earn from their new pipelines to Europe,China due before 2015?
So, my basic question is how much Russia profits (not revenue, but profit) from gas and oil export. And if you know please answer the other 2 questions please because I can’t find the answers anywhere.
Thanks. Regards

Budget figures show ~47% of budget revenue in 2006 comes from oil/gas (~35% in 2008 (est) representing 11% of GDP).

Since these are essentially taxes, these are technically pure profit as there is no direct correlation that requires tax revenues to be spent on the oil and gas sector. However from a budget basis, profit can also be defined as budget surplus (figures in the link).
If you want a more direct link for profits to oil.gas investment then I would suggest looking micro at gazprom’s financials to see how much they earn.
