How much money and how long from Vladivolstok to Moscow by Trans-Siberian?

Question by Marut: How much does it take cost from Vladivolstok-Moscow by Trans-Siberia and how long?
I’m student going to take Russian course at Pushkin Int., Moscow and I found it’s great to take Transiberia. I wanna know the process after I reach Vladivolstock airport. Can I take Transiberia with a big 2 luggage safety.
Ps. I’m gonna leave from Bangkok about 17 March, Thanks.

Prices start at +/-250 US$ (no food) and goes up from there. It takes a full week with many stops – and can be the adventure of a lifetime, but really, is endlessly boring as well. Bring several books. A friend of mine from Minnesota went from Vladivostok to Moscow and after a day and a half of going through the endless pine forests, he said he knew he’d made a mistake – except to be able to say he did it – and that a plane trip would have sufficed and saved time. He recommended doing a separate trip to an interior north-Asian city and exploring the region (and, if pine forests interest you) by motorized vehicle, foot, horse, whatever, but not the railway trip. Lots of websites have info. Make sure you follow the regulations – visas, passport, stopovers, etc. Good luck. I had an adventurous desire to do the same thing, but after hearing his story, I thought I’d wait till I was much older and had more time to kill.

I agree with the previous post. Unless you are going with a bunch of people……nah you'll get bored after a few days. The only thing that is cool is that train makes little stops 10-15 mins and you can get out of the train and buy homemade food that grandmas are selling on the platform.
