Can you post more details? Depending on where you are, airfare alone can cost well over $ 1000. Also, if you need one, there will probably be visa processing fees and such. Or do you just want the information for food, transportation in the city and lodging costs?

Airfares are extremely low at the moment. You can fly to Moscow or to Saint-Petersburg for around 600-700 dollars round trip with taxes included: http://www.airfarewatchdog.com/blog/3801767/secre… Up until middle of May it is considered to be low season so one can find great hotel deals. When choosing accommodation, check small/mini hotels or rent an apartment as opposed to staying in big chains. It depends on what you are comfortable with. Food and clothing tends to be more expensive, so keep this in mind. I go to Russia 3-4 times a year and if you budget your trip right, I'd say you can make it happen for $ 2000-2500.

Depends on where you're flying from. Just airfare from Los Angeles on Aeroflot (a non-stop 14 hour flight) will be around $ 1800 and then you have hotels, food, transportation, and miscellaneous expenses. You'll need a visa and that is another expense. I'd estimate around $ 3500 + on a shoestring budget at best, staying in not so great hotels in what is the most expensive city in the world.
Airfare $ 1800
Hotel $ 600 (3 nights)
Meals $ 150
Entry Visa and associated expenses $ 350
Miscellaneous $ 300 +
