Question by Emmy: How would you address a tsar?
I mean, when speaking to a king, you would generally say “your majesty” or something similar. What about tsars?

Usually in Imperial Russia the tsars were addressed as "His Imperial Majesty, Tsar so and so"

I would first of all allow him to whip me with the traditional Russian knut, then I would lick his boots from the sole up. Then I would present my posterior to him and then I would just say "hi" basically. I mean, what else can you say?

There has not been a Tsar since the Russian revolution, when the Russian royals, were all executed.
No one can recall what they were called in Russia.
As they were royals, Your Majesty comes to mind.

I would sincerely have major problems calling anyone 'Your Majesty'. I simply could not do it.
