I cant understand the poem by Akhmatova?

Question by confused: i cant understand this poem?
YOU THOUGHT I WAS THAT TYPE BY. ANNA AKHMATOVA

You thought I was that type:
That you could forget me,
And that I’d plead and weep
And throw myself under the hooves of a bay mare,

Or that I’d ask the sorcerers
For some magic potion made from roots and send you a terrible gift:
My precious perfumed handkerchief.

Damn you! I will not grant your cursed soul
Vicarious tears or a single glance.

And I swear to you by the garden of the angels,
I swear by the miracle-working icon,
And by the fire and smoke of our nights:
I will never come back to you.

It’s a stupid poem about a girl committing suicide over a guy that doesn’t care about her and then deciding he wasn’t worth it.

This poem is about an abusive relationship. The women refuses to return to the man because she has finally had enough. I'm not sure whether it was physical, sexual, or emotional abuse that was committed in the relationship but it is something that has had a permanent effect on her. He believes he has compete control over her but she is proving him otherwise.

In my eyes its as if the guy thinks he is irreplaceable and he thinks she'll come crawling back begging him to take her back but she is telling him she is not like that, She won't be back. He let her slip through his fingers thinking she couldn't go on without him and she is telling him she wont be back and that he was wrong about what he thought she would do.

A jilted woman states she will not go back to her lover even though he thought she was the type that would go crawling back. She is adamant that she will not behave the way he expects. If this was so, why tell him so? I think she'll go back. They had those "fire and smoke" nights, after all.
I think he had her number all along. This is my personal opinion and there is no right or wrong answer. I like this poem. Though if it were I, I'd not go crawling back (?)…

It's from the point of view of a girl who does not want to go back to a guy, even though he expects her to be chasing after him. She says that she will not just do anything to get him back, that she will move on.
