Question by Benjamin: If I join the military, could that later prevent me traveling to Russia?
I have heard that military and ex-military or prohibited from traveling to Russia. Is this true? Or perhaps it is just harder for them to get a visa, but not impossible?

I’m a former U.S. Marine (infantry) and a combat veteran and I had no trouble getting a visa for Russia.
