If I move to Russia and stay there how would I be treated?

Question by Roflcopterz: I am an American citizen; if I were to move to Russia, and stay there… How would I be treated?
I love Russia, and I hate America. I do not want anything to do with America, so I wish to leave for Russia. Explain to me how I would be treated in my new country.

All of you, America sucks. Alot. So telling this guy to leave, and soon?? trust me, he probably wants to and so do i. Russia is absolutely beautiful and alot of people are very loving a sweet. Get over yourselves. This is typical american behavior. Selfish, rude, and fake as hell.

First you would have to learn Russian not spanish or english
Two, don't get sick if you don't have money.
Don't even think about welfare they don't have such a thing.
Don't talk bad about the government unless you like Siberia.
You are not gonna be anything special because you are an American, sorry ex-American.
Oh and an advance thank you for leaving, we don't want you anyways.

If you love Russia as you say it wouldn't matter how they treated you surely?

Best way to find out, is go visit there first, before you burn all your boats! If you don't speak Russian, you may have a problem. Doesn't matter if you DO hate America, your Americanism will be all too obvious! It's hard to shed mannerisms unless you are a damn good actor! You will STILL be an American to the Russians. Some people will hate you, and some will embrace you! Russians have opinions about US too!! Believe me, they are no different than us! Some people will wonder why an American would want to live in their country and what was his agenda! Some people will look on you with suspicion. I don't know HOW you propose to make a living there, unless you have a profession and expertise that would be of value to any company! There again, the language barrier would come into play. Don't give up on America just yet. I know things look bad right now, but it can get just as cold in Russia as it does here!

i came from there 10 yaers ago, and i dont really want to go back, and it depends how you'll be treated, if you're dark skinned you might get jumped by some assholes, well let me explain that a little, other immigrants from other countries like turkey a lot of them moved in and started thinking they are home, just cuase there are a lot of em they started overpowering some places like some flea markets, did not allow russians to sell their products until russian got real mad and organized skin heads started beating and killing them. well it depends on how you'l be treated, i would say usa is a bit better in Some ways

You can only stay for a said amount of time before they would require you to become a citizen or kick you out.
