Question by nashgirl21: Is it okay to store vodka in a plastic container?
I want to make a batch of Stoli Dolis, but don’t have a glass pitcher. Would it be okay to leave it in a plastic pitcher for a few days, or would it absorb/eat away at the plastic…?

My expert advice would be to store vodka in your stomach. Plastic containers are for cowards.

It would be fine to leave it in a plastic pitcher or the like for a few days – the alcohol won't be strong enough to eat away the plastic or anything like that. Just make sure the plastic pitcher has been thoroughly cleaned, and if possible, sealed with a lid or cling wrap afterwards.

I store my vodka in a medical perfusion sack that I stole last time I was in for the DTs. I tape it to my thigh and lead a catheter up to my collar where I can pull it into my mouth discretely at any time and just take a nice little nip to keep me going.
